Controlled Camera Viewing and Deployment in Deep Boreholes

The pan-and-tilt camera lets operators direct the view toward a selected section of the casing for closer examination. Adjustable focus and LED brightness help adapt the image to the viewing distance and conditions inside the borehole.

The motorized reel provides adjustable deployment and retrieval speeds from 0–98 ft/min (0–30 m/min). It operates on AC 110–240 V from mains power or a compatible generator for field inspections. A digital footage counter measures cable payout as an approximate inspection-depth reference. The control unit has its own rechargeable battery for viewing and recording.

The 10" control-unit monitor displays HD inspection video. MP4 video and JPEG images are recorded at 1280 × 720 resolution for reviewing findings and comparing conditions before and after service work. Cable selection determines available deployment length; the camera head’s submersion limit remains unchanged.
