The FlexiCam-PTHD-PRO is a professional push-camera system for sewer, drain, and pipe inspection, built around a 360° pan / 180° tilt HD camera head (2"/50mm) with a 198ft (60m) or 394 ft (120m) fiberglass push cable, a 13-inch DVR control monitor, and a built-in 512Hz sonde for locating the camera underground. It is designed for plumbing contractors, municipal sewer inspectors, and HVAC/duct technicians who need to inspect pipes from the inside without excavation.
The 360°/180° pan-and-tilt head lets you rotate the camera to inspect the full pipe wall, not just the area straight ahead. This is the view most municipal sewer inspection specifications require, since defects can occur anywhere around the pipe circumference, not only ahead of the camera. The camera head uses a sapphire-glass lens and an IP68 housing rated to 330ft / 10 bar, suitable for repeated use in wet, abrasive sewer and drain conditions. The 13-inch DVR control unit records video, audio, and still images to onboard storage. The built-in sonde locates the camera head from the surface without a separate trace step. The battery provides approximately 6 hours of runtime per charge
Camera Heads:
- Shared specs | 1/3" CMOS 1.3MP sensor, sapphire glass lens, IP68 rated to 10 bar / 330 ft (100 m), built-in sonde transmitter
- Pan-and-Tilt: 2" / 50mm diameter head, 360° pan, ±180° tilt, automatic reset, 6 adjustable LEDs
- Straight-View: 1.6" / 40mm diameter head, self-leveling, 12 adjustable LEDs
Control Unit & Cable:
- Monitor & recording: 13" IPS, 1280×720; video/audio/image capture to onboard SSD, USB output
- Power: Li-ion 8,800mAh (up to 6 hrs runtime)
- Cable & counter: Fiberglass,198 ft (60 m) at 0.3" diameter (7 mm) or 394 ft (120 m) at 0.43" diameter (11 mm); digital meter counter, <1% error
The system ships with a choice of two camera heads. The Pan-and-Tilt head (2"/50mm) is suited for jobs where you need to inspect the pipe wall itself — cracks, root intrusion, offset joints, lateral connections — which is typically the case in large-diameter sewer mains and municipal inspections requiring sidewall documentation. The Straight-View head (1.6"/40mm) is self-leveling and smaller in diameter, allowing faster movement through tight bends and traps; it is better suited for residential drain lines and cleanouts, where maneuverability through a narrow line matters more than a full-circumference view of the pipe wall.
Camera head selection generally follows the end use. Plumbing and drain cleaning contractors use it to diagnose clogs, root intrusion, and structural damage before recommending repair or trenchless lining. Municipal sewer inspectors use the pan-and-tilt head to document sewer mains and laterals for compliance reporting. HVAC and duct technicians use it to inspect vertical duct shafts and direct-vent systems without opening walls or ceilings. Facilities and property managers use it for pre-purchase or preventive inspection of building drain lines.
